Establishing Your Design Process

In my Visual Communication class, we had an assignment to create our design process. At the time I understand how necessary it was to have a streamlined process for my design work. But once you complete a client project and assess what could have made the experience more effective, you begin to formulate a roadmap of steps that will make the experience better and stronger. I’m always tweaking my design process to make it more efficient. It’s always a good idea to step back and review your creative process.

If you take a look at our about page you can see what our process is all about. We like to be upfront and transparent about what we do and how we do it so there’s a clear understanding from a client and design perspective.

Below are some helpful questions to ask yourself or your team after a project.

  • Was the goal clear?

  • Did we hit our goal? Why or why not?

  • Were the deadlines realistic?

  • Was there enough time?

  • Was this the right team?
